1. Term and Automatic Renewal
Your membership runs for a term of one (1) year from the date your payment is accepted. Unless you cancel before the end of your current term, your membership will renew automatically for a further one-year term, and the payment method on file will be charged the then-current annual dues for your membership level. The dues that will apply on renewal are the rates published at marylandblockchainassociation.org/membership-listing at the time of renewal; we will state the exact amount in the renewal reminder described in clause 3.
2. Your Consent to the Automatic Charge
We will only charge your payment method automatically if you affirmatively consented to automatic renewal at checkout. You may withdraw that consent at any time by cancelling under clause 4, which stops all future charges.
3. Advance Reminder Before Each Renewal
Before each automatic renewal, we will send a reminder to the email address on your membership record not less than fifteen (15) and not more than forty-five (45) days before the renewal takes effect. That reminder will state that your membership renews unless you cancel, the length and price of the renewal term, every method by which you may cancel, a direct link to cancel, and our contact details.
4. How to Cancel
You may cancel at any time, effective for the next renewal, by any of the following. Each is available to you regardless of how you joined:
1. Online: log in to your account at marylandblockchainassociation.org/member-dashboard/ and select Cancel under Billing, or use the cancellation link in any renewal reminder or receipt we send you.
2. By email: write to info@marylandblockchainassociation.org from the address on your membership record. We will action it within two (2) business days and confirm in writing.
We will not require you to speak to a representative, complete a retention interview, or take any step to cancel that was not required of you to join.
5. What Happens When You Cancel
Cancelling stops all future charges immediately. Your membership and its benefits continue for the remainder of the term you have already paid for and end on your current term’s expiry date. You will not be charged again unless you rejoin.
6. Refunds
Annual dues are non-refundable once a term has begun, except that if you notify us within 30 days of an automatic renewal charge that you did not intend to renew, we will refund that charge in full and end your membership. Dues paid for a term you have already used are not refundable. Nothing in this clause limits any right you have under Maryland law.
7. Changes to Dues
If the dues for your level increase, we will tell you in the renewal reminder under clause 3 before the increased amount is charged, and you may cancel before the renewal takes effect.
8. Governing Law
These membership terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, including Title 14, Subtitle 13 of the Commercial Law Article.
