Nissrine Saidi

Nissrine Saidi sits at the exact intersection this session is about: where a physical commodity meets its digital token.
By day, she’s a critical-infrastructure security leader at a Big Four firm, securing the industrial control systems behind power grids, manufacturing, and mining, the operations that run commodity production at the source. An engineer by training, she once built and commissioned the same systems she now protects.
In Web3, she’s co-founder of NFT Toronto (NFTO) and a recurring digital-assets speaker who helped grow one of Canada’s largest blockchain communities, with a focus on education and access for the next generation of builders.
Most people in tokenization understand either the token or the asset. Nissrine works both sides, which is why she’s here to talk about the trust layer: whether the gold, the energy, or the metal a token claims to represent actually exists and can be verified. The difference between a token that’s backed and one that just says it is.
