Delegate Pam Queen was appointed to the Maryland House of Delegates in February 2016 and first elected to the House in 2018.
She sits on the Economic Matters Committee, chairs its Banking, Consumer Protection, and Commercial Law subcommittee, and serves on its Housing and Real Property and Business Regulation subcommittees. She has been a member of the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland since 2016, serving as Financial Secretary and then Treasurer, and of Women Legislators of Maryland, serving as Treasurer from 2021 to 2024.
Born in New York City in 1960, she holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Tuskegee University, master’s degrees in Computer Science and in Management from The Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD in Finance from George Washington University. She has been an Assistant Professor at Morgan State University since 2010.
