Dr. Ron Watson was born and raised in Prince George’s County and currently serves as State Senator for the 23rd Legislative District in the Maryland General Assembly. Prior to serving as Senator, he was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates where he served on the Judiciary Committee.
He has also served as a Prince George’s County Commissioner, Member of Bowie State University’s Foundation Board, The Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce, and the former Vice-Chairman of the School Board.
His direct service to Prince George’s County spans 20 years, Ron had a distinguished military career spanning 14 years as an Army Signal Officer and served on active duty to support Operation Enduring Freedom.
He is the President of Watson Management Corporation (WMC), a locally-based business management consulting company that supports the Department of Defense (DOD) and other government agencies in Business Operations, Program Management, Quality Assurance, and Process Improvement.  Ron has a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Advanced Technology, and an MBA. Ron is a 2008 graduate of Leadership Maryland, a Prince Hall Mason 33rd, and a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
